Empowering Healthcare Professionals with Free Telemedicine Resources

Are you a healthcare provider looking to increase your access to patients and your services while reducing your workload? Are you a policymaker or community organization wondering how you can support improvement of your community’s health outlook? Telemedicine and Telehealth are improving healthcare access around the world, and Pulse Telehealth Resource Center is an unbiased resource here to provide free Telehealth resources and guidance.

Since launching in September 2025, the HRSA-funded Pulse Telehealth Resource Center (PulseTRC) has conducted extensive research to equip our region with resources that are not only free, but also high‑quality and unbiased. We do not recommend specific vendors or products, instead compiling the information and helping you ask the questions that will allow you to determine which options are best for your organization. PulseTRC’s help will highlight the many uses and benefits of telehealth, as well providing the steps needed to successfully implement virtual care in Midwestern communities.

We recognize that the heartland region exhibits its own unique strengths and weaknesses that require specialized attention, and our mission is to support our healthcare providers and community hubs. In addition to PulseTRC’s digital library of free, unbiased, and research-based best practices and scientific data, we can also provide one-on one assistance.  If there is virtual care information that you’re having trouble finding, or maybe you just want to talk to a real person, please use our Contact Us form and you’ll get a response within 2-3 business days. PulseTRC can provide up to 10 hours of free assistance, no matter if that is by video, phone, or email. Maybe you’re wanting to reduce provider burnout, and you know telehealth can help, but aren’t sure where to start? We will assess your workflow and determine what can work.

Don’t hesitate to get in contact. But first, take a look at what resources are waiting for you online.

To help patients and providers get connected, PulseTRC has developed a free-to-use Virtual Health Access Map (VAHM). Inspired by the NRTRC’s national Find Telehealth Map,  PulseTRC’s VHAM includes a detailed Provider Directory including virtual and in-person services for all healthcare specialties, and a list of Telehealth Access Points.  This tool is intended to ensure that Heartland patients can find and reach providers, even in the most isolated Healthcare Shortage Areas and broadband deserts. There is no cost for providers to register their services for our map, which lists clinic information including services offered, hours, phone number, and physical address.
